How It All Started for Us

If you’ve never heard of us, Sun Stop Blinds is a family owned and operated blinds manufacturing company in Brisbane.

We started in 1993, manufacturing and installing a range of custom made (to size) window furnishings, such as vertical, roller, venetian and panel glides, to homes and businesses all across Brisbane, Ipswich and parts of the Gold Coast.

We (Lisa and Sean) the Directors of Sun Stop Blinds, met in 1989 whilst working for a Brisbane-based Blinds company. With a real passion for manufacturing top quality window furnishings we decided to start a company of our own, opening Sun Stop Blinds together.

We put our absolute heart and soul into making the company great and keeping it, family owned and operated and the business has been successful because of it.

We believe satisfied customers are the best form of advertising and over the past 30 years we are proud of the fact that 65% of our business still comes from previous clients or recommendations. Proof that we are doing something right!

We been working very hard to improve our offerings and services, we recently attended a couple of expos and managed to secure a range of quirky new blind patterns and styles. The blind industry is really changing and we love to keep up with all the trends – from funny pictures to landscapes and sophisticated patterns – it is wonderful to see so much creativity in the industry!
